Dinner in Tuscany

I'm a big believer in sharing great finds... and here's my first sharing on the blog. Chef Mike McCauley is simply put- awesome! He is currently the culinary program coordinator at Sur la Table in Columbus but also does private dinner parties. He has done several parties for us and they are always wonderful! It is a great alternative to going out to dinner and is fun to do with a group of friends. I'd highly recommend giving him a try... memccauley@yahoo.com.

I got to try something I've always wanted to do last night.... take a cooking class. To make it even better
I took the Dinner in Tuscany class with my gal pals Amy, Shelly, and Betsy. The class was held at Sur la Table at Easton and it was awesome! Definitely one of my favorite things- can't wait to do it again. The class was taught by a very talented chef, Mike McCauley.

Left: Mincing, chopping, & mixing Right: We couldn't resist licking the bowl of whipped cream & marscapone cheese for tiramisu.

The end result... Garlic & rosemary stuffed pork loin and Tuscan flatbread with caramelized onions, mushrooms, & cheese. We also made Tuscan Polenta and Raspberry Tiramisu. It was all soooo yummy! Eating it was just as much fun as cooking it.
