When Emilie woke up this morning she yelled, "Yippee!!! We're going to Grandma & Grandpa's today!" We made our way to Canton and visited the grand opening of a wild bird store who had a couple of special visitors. Caleb was excited to get his picture with the hawk while Emilie was a bit more cautious.
Caleb got to check out a hawk's foot.... kind of gross but amazing how big and sharp the claws were! They also had an owl there who just happened to have the worst luck ever. In one day he dove in on a skunk for lunch, got sprayed in the eye- which is blinding for 10-15 minutes, got attacked by the same skunk which resulted in a torn cornea, then got hit by a car. Yikes!
An afternoon with Grandpa isn't complete unless there is something sweet to snack on and spoil your dinner with. Thankfully Grandma was there to limit the number of cookies before dinner. After dinner all of the cousins gathered around the computer to take turns racing Caleb's Trackster.
It had been an exciting day for everyone and the kids & Mojo were passed out 10 minutes into our trip home.

Grandpa surprised Caleb with a Trackster... a race car you can take online and acutally race... kind of like Webkinz but for boys. He had a fun time showing Caleb how to race the car online.
