Growing up, fall was always a bittersweet time of the year... beauty of brisk mornings and change of colors in leaves mixed with the end of yet another summer and beginning of another school year. Living in Columbus- fall has a whole new definition for my kids. Buckeye season. Dare I say it- we are not even big Buckeye fans... I rarely know when games are which is like a cardinal sin in this town... but somehow, somewhere Emilie has been sucked into Buckeye fever.
Today was the first game of the season and as usual Columbus went crazy. Emilie was super excited when we went through Krispy Kreme for her normal order of Chocoloate Glazed Sprinkles.... the usual rainbow sprinkles were replaced with Scarlet & Gray. When she saw the donut she exclaimed, "Look Mom! Krispy Kreme is a Buckeye fan too!"
