Caleb loves his Nintendo DS and plays it every chance he gets. The past couple of weeks have been a bit of a struggle with that DS.....Caleb has been so fixated with the DS he has been slow to obey, nonresponsive, and at times defiant. When Caleb took 15 minutes to shut down the DS and come to dinner, Josh and I decided to take the DS away for a month.
Tonight as we were finishing up dinner I received a text message from someone on my team. I stepped away from the table to look at my blackberry. Right away caleb came over and asked me if I would check his plate to see if he ate enough to get dessert. I asked him to give me a minute while I responded to the tex message to which he responded,
'Mommy,you know- you are harder to get away from your blackberry than I am with my DS. It's like when you ask me to put the DS away and I take a really long time. You take longer.'
Guilt anyone?? :)
