Today was the day of Doctors appointments.... Caleb, Emilie, and I all had our dental checkups and annual physicals today. The dentist appointment went smoothly and I have to admit, I will miss the day when Emilie no longer wants to sit on my lap during her teeth cleaning. It was all I could do to refrain from asking Caleb if he wanted to sit on my lap during his cleaning..... sigh...
Getting weighed and measured.... Emilie is in the 50th percentile for her size and Caleb is in the 20th percentile. :)
Getting blood pressure tested and vision tests. Caleb read letters while Emilie read shapes.
The physical was a more interesting trip. I forgot the kids would have to give urine samples. The nurse gave me very small cups to fill. Both had very full bladders. Neither one had great aim. Neither one had control of their bladders. There was plenty of disinfectant spray and paper towels in the bathroom. Thank goodness. Enough said.
Emilie had been concerned all day about how many shots she would have to get today and that was the first question she wanted me to ask the nurse when she walked in. When we found out she would need 4 shots, Josh called Emilie to pray for strength and for the shots to not hurt too badly. She got through all 4, but it was tough and it wasn't without several high pitched screams. But within 10 minutes Emilie was back to her joyful self and she was showing off her bandaids to anyone who would listen. :)
