When I picked Emilie up from daycare last night the first words out of her mouth were, "Mommy- I have to wear green tomorrow or Ms. Peg or Ms. Heather will pinch me!" So when we got home she went through her closet and picked out green pants and a green shirt. And when she woke up this morning the first words out of her mouth were, "Mommy- do you have my green shirt?" She seemed satisfied with her outfit, the green polkadot ribbon in her hair, and even the green striped underwear she had on for the day. Only concern she left the house with were her toesies... because she had white socks on she was worried Ms. Peg might pinch her toes.
I love how imaginative and how much of a dreamer Emilie is! It was so much fun to share St. Patrick's Day with her (and every time I called it St. Patty's Day she corrected me by saying, "It's not St. Patty's Day- It is St. Patrick's Day!"). She was excited to get to school this morning because her class was going to be searching for a pot of gold. And when I picked her up she told me all about Leo the Leprechaun who had snuck into her classroom while they were on the playground. He put bubbles in the toilet, dumped out toys but was nice enough to leave behind some iced cookies, chocolate gold coins, stickers, and glow sticks. When I told her I thought Leo was a little stinker, she replied, "Leo's little but he not a stinker." :)
Apparently Larry the Leprechaun invaded Caleb's classroom during recess as well! Larry dumped out toys and tore up some papers but left behind green milk and cookies for the class.
All in all a fun day with no pinching. :)
