Josh started back at Chase as a loan officer this week. Now that he is dressing for the office, the kids are seeing him in "new" clothing. On Wednesday Caleb commented on Josh's outfit.
Caleb: Daddy- is that shirt new?
Josh: No- it has just been a while since I last wore it. But thanks! I'm glad you like it.
Caleb: Oh no- I actually don't like. I was just curious if it was new.
The kids and I were hanging out on the couch after dinner tonight- Caleb on my left and Emilie on my right. Unfortunately, Caleb got into trouble for jumping on the couch after being told not to. A combination of the direct disobedience and his attitude following directed me to tell him he would be getting a spanking. He started to cry and yell that he did not want a spanking. Poor little guy was quite upset. At this point I heard noises from my right and looked over to see a pink, silky, leopard print pajama covered bottom sticking up in the air. She was hanging over the arm of the couch reaching her tiny arm around to smack her bottom yelling "spank, spank, spank". I couldn't help it- I busted out laughing which of course made Caleb even more upset but quite pleased my comedian princess.
