Emilie woke up this morning and immediately started complaining of not feeling well. She told me right away that she could not go to school. When I would not relent to her skipping school I quickly learned the real reason why she did not want to go to school. She told me she did not know her Bible verse which was due this morning and this would be the first time she did not get a 3 (equivalent to an A). If she did not go to school then she would have more time to study. I have to hand it to her... she had it all figured out!
Fortunately, Meemaw came to the rescue and helped Emilie get a little extra study in while I helped Caleb get ready for school. She had no problem at all with the verse! In fact, she received her 3 today :-)
