Playtime!

I've always known Emilie as the quiet one when playing with friends. In fact, her kindergarten teacher had voiced concerns with Emilie being bosses around too much by the other girls because she is so quiet. However tonight, I got to hear a different side of Emilie. I'm not sure if this is how she always has been or if she is just growing into a more socially confident person. Whatever the case, it was heart warming and even hilarious to overhear her chatting away with her friend Paige tonight.  At one point this evening I heard her say in a very heavy valley girl accent, " don't toot because its not ladylike to toot!"

At dinner, Paige, Emile and Caleb were discussing what they wanted to be when they grow up.

C: I'm going to be a marine biologist, paleontologist, anthropologist.... Ummm... And I don't remember what other ologists there are.

E: I'm going to work at the clay store . Oh wait- no I'm going to work at American Girl Doll hospital. Or the factory making dolls.

P: I'm going to go to Ohio State and be a cheerleader.

E: I'm going to Daniel's college and be a Hornets cheerleader.

C: It's called Cedarville.

E: Yeah... I'm going to Cedarville to be a cheerleader and Caleb is going there to play basketball.

P: (looking at me) Emilie has to go to Ohio State to cheer with me or she can't live with you!!!
